Description: Extensive renovation, asbestos abatement and lead abatement scopes of work were performed on two dormitories located on the F.E. Warren Air Force Base. Work included expert coordination with the Prime Contractor, ITSI in order to phase the work as required in order to meet an aggressive construction schedule. Each dormitory required work on four floors, including an attic level. In addition to the abatement scopes, the project involved major demolition and concrete coring/cutting and removal. Mechanical and electrical system demolitions were also a significant portion of the work performed. DHS self performed 75 percent of the work (25 percent subcontractors for additional abatement teams/labor force, concrete coring and waste hauling/disposal). No contractual issues or claims were reported. The project was completed under budget, and within the projected schedule.

Description: Completed a major project within a fast-track schedule due to client needs for building usage. Extensive renovation, asbestos abatement, mold remediation services and construction services on a fifteen (15) story high rise building. Project included extensive demolition at garden level, pool area, two (2) storage areas, a maintenance office, the mechanical room, kitchen areas, bathrooms and recreation rooms. Based on asbestos detection, 8,750 square-feet of asbestos containing flooring were removed and 21,350 square-feet of walls (including studs) were demolished to create a safe environment for re-building the interior. The new finishes including electrical and mechanical upgrades to meet the current building standards. Description: This project involved thousands of linear feet of duct cleaning throughout a historical building. Because of the large number of federal employees at this downtown Denver facility, the majority of the cleaning work occurred during the off hours. The project goal of avoiding negative impacts to the ongoing activities was met. State-of-the-art camera equipment and cleaning techniques were used throughout the cleaning process resulting in optimum, on time, project completion. DHS self performed 100 percent of the work. Description: This high-profile and extensive project involved after-hours work in order to avoid impacting ongoing trials and legal proceedings in the U.S. Court System. State-of-the-art camera technology and cleaning systems were used to complete thousands of linear feet of duct cleaning in a historical building. Work necessitated expert phasing and coordination with the owner’s representatives to meet the prescribed construction schedule. DHS self performed 60 percent of the work (40 percent subcontractors for electrical contractor, heating mechanical, labor/work-force and waste hauling/disposal). Description: Emergency services requiring comprehensive set-up of dehumidifiers/air movers to dry out of building, and wall flood-cuts throughout the building.
